In Time Attack medals also pay coins, and in Race stamps only score.

Endless

Fall forever. One point per beam.

  • Costs 3 energy (free while an unlimited-energy pass runs).
  • A run opens on a map drawn from the ones you have reached; you never pick it. Every 400 points it moves on to the next map of its tour, and every 100 it changes zone. See maps.
  • Coins, figures in the windows, stamp pieces, each map’s own obstacles and its bosses.
  • 2 revives per run. A new save’s first run is the tutorial, on Classic.
  • At the end: coins are banked (×2 while the boost runs) and you can DOUBLE them with a video (or a tap with Remove Ads), 3 times every 8 hours. Quit from pause and you bank nothing.
  • XP by score (see levels).

Daily drift

Today's course. One run at it.

  • It costs no energy. You get 1 run a day and can earn 1 extra with a video (or a tap with Remove Ads). The day turns at 00:00 UTC.
  • Everyone flies the same course that day: same seed, same obstacles, same figures at the same depths.
  • The day’s map comes from a rotation: Classic two days in three, the Foundry one in three. During Halloween the rotation is Classic, Halloween and the Foundry in equal parts. If you had not reached the day’s map, it unlocks.
  • It has coins, figures, stamps and 2 revives, like Endless. A revived run is still one attempt.
  • The Daily screen shows a practice board with simulated rivals, 100 places long, renewed every day (the game says so). The real ranking is the world board on Google Play Games / Game Center.
  • It keeps a history of your recent daily runs.

Time attack

8 courses. Beat the clock.

  • 1 energy per attempt. Fixed courses that are always the same, with a ghost of your best time and 3 checkpoints showing the split.
  • No coins in flight, no stamps, no figures and no revives. Medals pay coins the first time.
  • Medal times, how courses open and the rewards in Time Attack.

Race

Two players, one phone.

  • Two people on one phone: the screen splits in two and the top half is drawn upside down for the player opposite. Each player steers their own half. It costs no energy.
  • Both fly exactly the same course, even when one is ahead.
  • Length: 30 s, 60 s, 90 s or First to 100 (first past 100 beams).
  • In a timed race whoever is further down at the end wins; level, and it is a dead heat.
  • A crash does not knock you out: you go back to your last safe point, sit through a 3-2-1 (2.7 s) and fly on with an 8-second shield.
  • You pick the map (from those reached; Halloween only in season), with its obstacles and bosses, and each player picks a plane and a colour (Blue, Coral, Mint or Gold).
  • The series score is kept on the phone. Winning races unlocks the Smoke trail (4 wins) and the Glider plane (10). Every finished race pays 20 XP.

Online leaderboards

With Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone) there are 10 world leaderboards: Endless (best score), the Daily Drift, and one for each of the 8 Time Attack courses (best time). Runs in Slow mode are not posted to them, though they count for your records and unlocks.
